Wolf Moon and Occultation of Mars tonight [1]

Sorry for the late post but tonight Jan 13, the full moon, aka as the Wolf Moon, will rise and soon thereafter pass right in front of Mars, creating what is known as an occultation.
Mars should be visible with the naked eye or better with binoculars or a telescope until it gets close to the Moon's edge.
Here is a table from www.space.com/... with start times and duration of the Mars occultation event for select U.S. cities.
The occultation will be visible in North America and western Africa.
A few other planets will be visible during the night — all 6 of them except for Mercury.
This beautiful composite image of the early evening skyscape was posted on NASA APOD on Jan 11. It was taken on Jan 2 with Mount Etna's lower Silvestri Crater in the foreground. The pic shows 6 of the 8 planets (+ Earth) all visible along a great circle (only Mercury is missing, Pluto does not count anymore).
These 6 planets will be visible simultaneously for most of Jan and Feb this year. Mercury will sprint into the view from the right in late February
Happy viewing. Hope you get to hear some wolves too.
