Surprise! Vance says no pardon for violent J6ers. More broken promises, MAGA ain't happy about it. [1]

During the campaign, Trump promised he would release everyone in prison for Jan. 6. Per Mother Jones,
“It’s very simple,” Vance claimed on the show. “If you protested peacefully on January the sixth, and you’ve had [Attorney General] Merrick Garland’s Department of Justice treat you like a gang member, you should be pardoned. If you committed violence on that day, obviously, you shouldn’t be pardoned, and there’s a little bit of a gray area there, but we’re very much committed to seeing the equal administration of law. And there are a lot of people, we think, in the wake of January the sixth, who were prosecuted unfairly, and we need to rectify that.”
That’s a more than a bit of a word salad. But the message is clear: according to Vance, Trump will only pardon insurrectionists who didn't commit violence. Because Law and Order. So, according to Vance, Jan. 6 violent offenders are going to serve out their sentences. That’s not what Trump promised over and over during the campaign, and MAGA is not pleased. So, thus far, here’s a list of Trump back peddling from his election pandering:
1. Grocery prices aren't going to come down after all.
2. Tariffs might raise prices. Who knows? And maybe the tariffs won't be for everyone. Anyways, the threat of tariffs is leverage in negotiations.
3. We probably aren't going to deport everyone right away either.
And now:
4. No pardons for all of the J6 insurrectionists.
5. He can’t end the war in Ukraine.
I wonder how long will MAGA stick with this guy? I think all the way, so long as he deports enough people to satisfy their demand. Short of that, it won’t matter how many children he tears away from their parents and locks up in cages. That is sooooooo 2017.
