MAHA Hypocrites [1]

I see that Rs are laying the groundwork to slash healthcare access and funding by blaming their constituents for their health problems. I’m wondering how they will react when their pre-existing conditions are no longer covered and their health care is gone.

I’ll be the first to admit that the American diet could use some modifications, but I find it rich that Rs are now saying we need to improve our diets and have access to more alternative treatments. Does anyone remember how the Rs reacted to Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” initiative and her White House garden? The wailing and gnashing of teeth about the nanny state and taking away our freedoms was deafening. Or the efforts of many states to address sugared drinks? Or when we designated ketchup as a ‘vegetable’ for school lunches? The hypocrisy is astounding.

But, I guess if it's white men telling us what to do, it's suddenly ok. Of course, they don’t give a rat’s rump about our health. What they care about is slashing funding for anything that actually helps their constituents so they can instead help their wealthy donors become wealthier. Sigh.
