Will Merrick Garland whiff one last time? [1]

Merrick Garland has been given a clear path to release both portions of Jack Smith’s reports on Trumps treasonous wrongdoings. Will he? Nah.
But he sure can and he should. If he doesn’t it’s another clear indication that he was in the bag for Trump all along.
Appearing on MSNBC with host Katie Phang on Saturday afternoon, and recounted by Raw Story, ex-prosecutor Kristy Greenberg pointed out that Garland’s reason for not releasing the report on the secret documents at Mar-a-Lago is that it could prejudice the case against the two low-level stooges who worked for Trump, Walt Nauta and Carlos De Oliveira.
Talk about a lame excuse! As Greenberg points out, “In nine days, that case against those two co-defendants is going away. Trump is going to have his DOJ drop that appeal. So why not just drop the case against them, drop that appeal against them now? And then you can release this report."
As obvious and simple all of that is, Garland will not do it. He thinks that future constitutional scholars will revere him for his probity and discretion. Sorry pal. They’ll point to you as one of the few individuals with the power to put the brakes on this when it would have counted.
