Thursday GNR: Zuckerberg Takes META Off Rails [1]

Meta has tossed out fact-checking and rules on hate speech, but promises community moderation. So I will volunteer to moderate, and encourage others to do so as well. My first question is whether this change means that RFK jr. will be welcomed back on Facebook to spew his vaccine lies and hate, since The [redacted] Thing means to put him in charge of Federal vaccine policy and all other health issues.

So much for facts.

I had a hand in getting not only RFK jr. but his bogus children’s charity banned from Facebook, and I worry that we will have to start over again.

Zuckerberg says that Facebook will institute community moderation, as on X. I have been accepted into the X program for rating and editing community comments on stories, in multiple languages. I’m willing to apply for such rights on Facebook, too. We need to recruit more moderators.
