This place is a severe effing downer.

Now, I have seen the political wreckage at this site after the Blue Team took an electoral drubbing before ( I have lurked around these parts for 20 years, youngsters), but this place, since the 2024 shitshow, has truly taken a grim turn.

One-half of the stories seem to be stenography of the laziest journalistic party-line thinking, the others amount to defeatist bullshit, whining, or a version of MAGA Stockholm Syndrome.

Call me an asshole, but I cannot tolerate too much more of this political self-guillotining.

If it were not for GNR, I would have left these parts some time ago. Again, the Good News folks pay attention to activists and events that show that there are humans out there who have not given up and who still doggedly maintain hope for the future. I will cast my lot with them...
