Gavin Newsom becomes target for Trump because of wildfires - update at end and scattered throughout [1]

It's just like Trump to kick somebody when they're down. Governor Gavin Newsom is quite busy at the moment dealing with the wildfires in California. According to Trump, it's all Newsom's fault.

If you remember, when Trump was in office, he held back sending aid to California because of wildfires. He didn't want to send aid to a blue state that hadn't voted for him. That's how petty he is. History repeats itself. He threatened in September of last year, that he would do it again and not give aid to California if wildfires occurred.

There was actually legislation Newsom signed that went into effect on September 4th, 2024, that cracked down on people using too much water.

In April, he put forth the plan to save the water that was going to be coming from an excess snowpack for future use.

When Trump's administration put forth a plan diverting water from the Sacramento San Joaquin Delta, 5 years ago, environmentalists said that there were chances that the salmon, smelt, and steelhead would go extinct.

So, Trump focuses on one of the fish and not the others which are a major food source. Just like Trump.

You can read about all they did to make everything work for water conservation, environmental concerns and saving the fish.

I can't find any news about Newsom not signing a bill that had anything to do with water restoration. The only thing I could find were the articles saying that he put forth a plan in April.

NBC News has confirmed that there was no such thing as a water restoration declaration, from talking to Newsom's communications director.

Trump seems to think that Gavin Newsom wants to turn California into a desert. Nobody is talking about reducing the amount of water California gets. There's a big conflict between the United States and Mexico. California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Mexico, all need water from the Colorado River and the Rio Grande River.

But there isn't the water shortage Trump is talking about. The wildfires in California are caused by rain last year that grew lots of weeds, which dried out and when fires start, the Santa Ana winds blow, and you've got big wildfires.

There were three fires that started. The Pacific Palisades fire is between Santa Monica and Malibu. The Eaton fire broke out in Altadena near Pasedena. The Hurst fire, a smaller one, ignited in Sylmar, in the San Fernando Valley, northwest of downtown Los Angeles. All three fires started in residential areas. Not on open land, not in the forest. It doesn't help when people don't clear brush away from their homes.

Trump's plan would be trillions of water sprinklers on millions of acres of land. It is nearly impossible to prevent wildfires from happening.

It's patently untrue that there's no water for fire hydrants or firefighting planes. Like always, he just makes it up as he goes. There were times that water was being used so fast in the Pacific Palisades that they couldn't fill their million gallon water tanks that are used to create water pressure. The only thing he's right about is that it is a disaster. And he wants to make it worse.

Because the fires have not been contained, he says the government of California is not a government.

Trump can't wait until January 20th so he can turn off any aid that Biden sends to California to help.

His two posts weren't enough. He had to do another one to blame Biden/Newscum.

Again, this would never have happened if he was in office.

It's a calamity beyond recovery. All because Biden and Newsom are in charge. He'll make things right on Jan. 20th by denying aid to California because they didn't sweep the forests. Except that's not where all the fires started. The childish "Newscum" again. The 5-year old president.

I think this was ghostwritten for him and he added his touches. He said "incompetence" instead of corrupt. "Mismanagement" instead of fouled up. "Emblematic." He's never used a word like that before. It shows intelligence he doesn't have. Ghostwritten for sure on this one. The first one looks to be partially ghostwritten. "Apocalyptic" is not one of his words. The second one is all him.

What a criminal, that revels in other people's distress.

And the insult of calling him Newscum. It's just another in a long list of items that shows how infantile Trump is. Trump is the scum. He should look himself in the mirror, except he doesn't know how it works.
