Trump, Musk, and the simulation hypothesis [1]

Hello,
I'm an avid news reader since many years. I don’t own a TV so reading is what I do.
Like the frogs being slowly boiled and only too late realising what is happening to them I have only slowly realised that news reporting changed over the years and is not really healthy to consume anymore.
Today in a Swedish traditional right leaning paper I read(our traditional right being roughly your Bernie Sanders I guess) I'm regaled with several trump stories, hes going to invade Greenland or
something outrageously stupid, Musk is going to by Neo Nazi influence in Germany and so on.
This is click bait of course, and I dont necesarily read those articles, but I still get a tiny bit more cortisol and adrenaline in my bloodstream everytime those kind of stories appear in my feeds. I don't know why Swedish media is so fascinated by the US, but it is, and mostly for creating clickbait headlines.
I'm particularily perplexed about why Musk is doing his best to destroy the fragile world we have created, and today I had a thought.
Musk subscribes to the simulation hypothesis, and it has been said that if we live in a simulation the best you can do is to be interesting.
I think this fits with Musks solipistic narcisism, if we live in a simulation and he is the only player and the rest of us are non player characters, how can you be maximally entertaining for the presumed entities monitoring our simulation? Well you could strive to make the simulated world a better place, but it would be easier and quicker to just buy a large megaphone and shout out the most attention grabbing garbage you can all the time, to annoy the poor NPC:s (us, that is)
Anyway, thats just my half baked random hypothesis for the day, thanks for reading.
