Carville is Right: MSNBC and the Dems need Real Fact Words [1]

Our party’s talk and language must be to the point and not vaguely “good”. As George Orwell wrote in “Essay on the English Language”, when we start to use concept words instead of real fact words the meaning is obscured and the punch is lost. Department of War is now the Department of Defense, he pointed out. “Save our Democratic Institutions” may be correct, but “Vote for a Congress for the People” is to the point and means the same thing.
“100,000 Americans died for Trump’s son-in-law ‘War On Covid’.” “The Economy is not the Stock Market”. “Trump’s Inflation Still Hurting You Now?” How many examples do we need of truth in direct real words? Why does MSNBC talk in Harvard-speak? I’m a Harvard alum, and a lawyer, I understand the lingo but it fails to get to the heart of the matter, feels condescending, and it’s a put-off. Carville is correct. This is not about going “lower” — this is about plainspeak. I believe you have misunderstood what Carville is suggesting and what I see as a very real problem for the Dems.
