2025 is already going to be a struggle…And as much as it pains and embarrasses me, we need help to start the year with these new expenses...
2024 hit us hard the last 4 months… my van broke down, with $1056 in repairs… My husband’s vehicle needed a new battery, which his fender had to come off to replace, costing $330… then his lights rear lights and tag light needed replacing, $212… Next, Nov came in with ruptured pipes in our basement ceiling… just got the plumbing bill this week, $429… Still waiting for the ServePro bill, can’t imagine how much that will cost, but best guess around $1500…it was a huge mess with ceiling tiles coming down, some wet insulation removed, and all carpet removed and disposed of...Because of our physical limitations, we could not do the clean-up ourselves... we have had to let our homeowners ins lapse… it got too expensive...so no coverage to help out...In NC, we pay separate property taxes on our vehicles… ours are due to renew this month with $30 each for inspections and $366...and now, our property taxes are coming due at $1900… our credit cards are almost maxed out from medical bills and dental bills the last 2 years…
I am disabled with multiple physical and health issues, and he has Ankylosing Spondylitis and may have something called DISH on top of the spondylitis. it is progressing rapidly… he has had to decrease his hours at work…they are accommodating him at work, but we worry that at some point, they won’t... we are starting his disability process by getting all the medical stuff documented, but that takes time… When he applied for the Marketplace ins in Dec, he qualified for Medicaid this year, so his medical bills will be handled going forward… we have been waiting over a month to get a new med for him approved, but we are still waiting… This week, his right hip has become swollen, and Tylenol isn’t covering his pain… We will be contacting his rheumatologist tomorrow...
Bear & Peng are littermate brothers who are almost 13...
We can still cover our regular bills and feed the kitties, but these extras piling up all at once have got us struggling… He is 63, but can’t get full Social Security benefits until he is 67… We can’t take that much of an income deduction for an early retirement… he won’t make it 4 more years...
I think if we can get help covering the property taxes for the vehicles and townhouse, and the plumbing disaster, we could squeeze by… So about $4200… Since my daughter is on the deed for estate purposes, a loan against the equity is not an option…
Thanks for any help given… We appreciate Tips & Recs too… For those who can’t help, thanks for moral support and encouragement, it means a lot to us…
I only have PayPal… mamajo2k at paypal dot com… Please kos mail any questions…
