This diary was largely inspired by another Daily Kos diary called “Exasperated with Democratic Silence” by Back of Bourke. The main point of that diary is that too many elected Democrats have been failing to speak out against some of Trump’s most outrageous and dangerous lies. An adjacent point that the author made was about Rep. Tom Suozzi urging his fellow Democrats to play nice and compromise with Traitor Trump.
When I read the quotes from Suozzi, I thought to myself: “Is he out of his frigging mind????” Donald Trump is the equivalent of an arsonist and the Democrats need to be the equivalent of firefighters. Firefighters do not compromise with arsonists!
To all of the true Democrats who intend to block Trump’s destructive agenda at every turn, I say: Yes! Block, block, block!!!
