Another YouTube Channel Worth Knowing About [1]

This diary really WILL be short.
We talk about the need for better messaging. We talk about the need to uplift younger people and give them more of a voice.
Well, here is a young person with one heck of a voice. When I started listening to her, I couldn’t help wondering if she was one of Robert Reich’s students; and that is NOT to diminish her, but to compliment her. [Academics, even long-ago ones, will know what I mean. BTW, whaddayaknow, she was at Harvard.]
Her name is Ahsante Bean, yes that is the correct spelling, and her vlog is “Bean Thinking”.
Here, she holds forth on the socioeconomic problem that actually exists. And just for funsies, here’s Robert Reich in a similar vein. [There’s more diary below the vids, plus links to her video index at YouTube — and Robert Reich’s as well.]
Before signing off, I want to compliment her on deftly and compassionately threading the ethical needle regarding Luigi Mangione. She has perspective, doesn’t lose her moral bearings, yet acknowledges emotion, especially desperation, as a factor in people’s responses. I know people three times her [apparent] age who still can’t handle this kind of ambiguity and keep their internal bearings.
I also want to say this is one of the most quotable videos I have ever seen. I was strongly tempted to post some good pull quotes, but quickly realized I might not be able to stop, once I started. She is that good. [Feel free to share anything she says that impresses you, in the comments, though.]
Pay close attention to this woman. She’s a force to be reckoned with. May she flourish.

[It didn’t lose me; in fact I found myself sitting up repeatedly, because she is making many points that resonated deeply with me. Seriously, watch it all the way through. Save for later if you must, but watch it all the way through.]
