This vent-hole (hereinafter known as IVH), if lost or stolen will not be replaced or purchase price refunded. Violation of IVH rules will result in expulsion without refund. It’s time to say goodbye to 2024 and hello to 2025. 2024 is most likely the last “normal” year we will have for a while. While I always hope the best for the future, I am almost dreading 2025 and the decade to follow. The incoming administration has promised to take away my SS and Medicare, as well as my V.A. benefits, they are basically condemning me to death, that is the GOP’s way of thanking me for my service. Every time the GOP comes to power, they come after me, last time it cost me $1000 a month for 18 years, now here they go again. I’ll say it here once, FUCKING NAZIS!!
The weather patterns have changed up here. In a “normal year” our winter starts the week of Halloween, I spent many Halloweens with below zero temps, maybe not snow, but that is the earliest sub-zero weather occurs. “Normally”, we have snow on the ground from the middle of November until Mid-January when we get a two-week Chinook with temps in the 50’s and 60’s, then February comes and is the worst weather of winter. We stay above zero after Mid-March and Spring arrives in Mid-May.
So far this winter, there had been no snow on the ground until yesterday and we have 5” of snow right now. This coming week we are looking at temps down to zero for the second time this season, hopefully, we will get that Chinook mid-month. I am still worried about February, usually the coldest and snowiest month of winter, I’ll be OK if I can make it through March!
So, goodbye to 2024, you were a good year. Somehow, I get the feeling that 2025 will need a good spanking, we will see. I am already longing for the end of “The tRump Era” and I hope our nation survives it.
