This was to be totally expected.

The crew were advised of their rights and legal representation.

ERR News reports: According to a press release from the Finnish National Bureau of Investigation, seven crew members from the oil tanker Eagle S have been banned from traveling.

That's seven out of a total crew of 20. They were taken off the ship. I guess that means that 13 other crewmen and the captain are still on the ship.

Thanks to a tip from user BMScott, we now know who the captain is:

The captain of the Eagle S (is) Davit Vadatchkoria, IStories found out. Earlier a 39 year old citizen of Georgia posted a profile with the same name on the CrewData sailor search service.

He scored an 85/100 on the CES 4.1 test. Crew Evaluation System for testing knowledge of maritime safety regulations, mechanical issues, cargo handling and the like. He's Georgian. Previous reports said there were both Indian and Georgian crewmen. Doesn't look like he can claim ignorance over what he did with the ship.

Finnish National Bureau of Investigation: A crime scene investigation is underway, and the interviews with the staff continue today. Furthermore, seven staff members whose status in the criminal investigation is that of a suspect have been subjected to a travel ban. A travel ban is a less severe coercive measure limiting personal freedom than apprehension or arrest, and it is imposed to ensure that the criminal investigation is not compromised and that the parties can be reached during the investigation. However, further information is gathered as the investigation goes on, so it is possible that the number of those subjected to travel ban will change, said Detective Chief Inspector Elina Katajamäki of the National Bureau of Investigation.

No mention of the spy equipment that was found, what signals intelligence was recorded, or what was on the Turkish and Russian laptops.

ERR News also detailed how the event unfolded on Christmas with everybody away from their normal stations. And how the Finnish government came to the conclusion that the Eagle S has had to be stopped immediately. The Finnish prime minister knew it was sabotage within an hour of the power cable being cut.
