Joe, Kamala, Tim and Others. The Southeast Needs You [1]

Joe, Kamala, Tim, and Others,
I’m viewing the devastation in the Southeast from the comfort of California and have the remembrance of my disaster relief activities in my home state of North Carolina after Hurricane Gloria in 1985. We may have never had a national disaster of this scale before.
Some suggestions:
The widespread damage in the Southeast is going to take many years to repair. But at this moment people and businesses are shocked and traumatized. They need to see you and your compassionate selves everywhere.
They need solid, helpful, immediate information about what to do.
The value of the SBA, the Small Business Development Centers, the National Guard, and the US Government will never be so obvious to so many if the effort is done properly. And the private sector/government cooperation that’s possible.
Among other things, I suggest a webinar series which the SBA or the North Carolina SBTDC can do, recorded for streaming, of the steps that need to be taken, the timeline for recovery, the assistance that is available, the small business recovery centers that will be open. Distributed through as many channels of communication as possible.
