PDA Progressive Town Hall: Sunday 12/31/2023 [1]

As PDA heads into 2024, we have great cause for optimism—which, it's our understanding, makes for quite a contrast with most of the American political world, in particular Democrats.
This is not because we received new rose-colored glasses as a holiday gift. We recognize the world is a dire and foreboding place these days: given the slaughter in Gaza, the war in Ukraine, the inability of international institutions to address the climate emergency, Donald Trump's poll numbers, and more.
Yet, we know that only one viable political formation in the United States has adequate responses to these crises—and that's us, the progressives. Even more cause for optimism arises from the popularity of our ideas with younger Americans!
So, it's appropriate that we end 2023 looking forward to 2024 with one of PDA's young leaders, William Walter from Wisconsin. William is one of the Steering Committee members of the newly reconfigured YPDA. We'll hear why William has optimism for the new year and beyond, and then we'll open the floor to hear from you—so, prepare your most hopeful visions for a progressive 2024.
