Today's example of how the NYT amplifies a narrative [1]

Two stacked front page stories about Trump (shown once again with the flag) and Biden from today’s NYT. But only the Biden story allowed reader comments, with the predictable troll-like piling-on and repetitious Republicanesque critiques. www.nytimes.com/...

Why is that? As another NYT commenter noted, it must be "The every-other-day obligatory 'Democrats are worried about Biden' story. Is there some kind of quota that needs to be filled? "

Apparently there's a narrative to reinforce, especially when “both sides” reporting has a thumb on the scale.
