Representative Waltz;

In a social media post sent Wednesday, December 20, you criticized “unelected judges” on the Colorado Supreme Court for issuing a “garbage ruling” declaring that the leader of the Republican Party is an insurrectionist who is not constitutionally qualified to be on the Colorado 2024 ballot.

Thinking voters expect that any public servant we elect to Congress would know that Colorado Supreme Court Justices are elected to an initial two-year term, after which time voters cast a yes-or-no ballot to determine whether they will be retained for a subsequent ten-year term and are, therefore, NOT “unelected.”

Regarding your “garbage ruling” claim, I recommend you read the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution and pay particular attention to Section Three, which plainly says, “No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.”

Hopefully, you’ll then finally be able to understand and publicly admit that the United States Constitution kicked Trump off the ballot because he “engaged in insurrection” and has “given aid or comfort to the enemies” by promising to pardon some or all of insurrectionists soon to be arrested, currently awaiting trial, and imprisoned for their participation in the attempted coup d'etat.

Before you ever embarrass yourself in the future by further disparaging the Colorado Supreme Court and its justices, I advise you to first contact Cheryl Stevens, Clerk of the Supreme Court, by calling 720-625-5150 or clicking on [email protected].

The question that now begs to be answered is this: Are you seriously trying to convince the American people that your party leader has a history of making objective judgments, has a stellar reputation for unswerving morality, and is a thoughtful, compassionate public servant who is well qualified to truthfully and diligently govern America and lead the free world from January 20, 2025, on?

Really?

Forgive me for asking an inconvenient question, but just between you and me and the proverbial gatepost, shouldn’t you reevaluate your ability to make an objective judgment?
