IAN: December 22, 2023 Three days until Christmas, it's practically here! [1]

Happy Friday! We’ve got groceries in, Christmas dinner is in the fridge waiting, we always do a ham, it’s less work. I have a box of cat and dog presents, I have things for the kids and for my other half. My mom’s present hasn’t arrived yet, but it’s supposed to be here the week after Christmas and she’s not coming until January, so that works out. We’re about as ready as we can be.
So here’s some Christmas lights and neighborhood walks for those of us who can’t do that anymore, some music, and even a story to end the diary. A couple of them are a little long, watch as little or as much as you would like.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wildfires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
