Contrary to popular belief, iceberg lettuce has redeeming qualities. Iceberg lettuce Is rich in vitamins A and K. Vitamin A assists in combatting oxidative stress and inflammation. While the Vitamin K is important for blood clotting and bone health.

If you go with the green and leaf lettuce you can expect to add vitamin C and their antioxidant content is higher. This makes green and red lettuce a better choice as they support vision, immune proprieties, and bone health. There is another lettuce, Romaine, which is high in antioxidants and phytonutrients. Romaine also has omega three which is important for heart health and anti-inflammatory results. Romaine also includes plant protein.

Antioxidants and phytonutrients in plant based food reduce oxidative damage which helps us fight diseases, illnesses and aging.

We sometimes think of leafy vegetables, such as such as spinach, kale, and arugula, similar to lettuce, but they have other benefits. They have a rich concentration of essential vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, C, and K. Compared to lettuce, their antioxidant content is higher They also have more dietary fiber which promotes digestive health. In addition their fiber helps to keep blood sugar in check and may help in controlling your weight. In addition, their iron content, important for women, also helps in oxygen transport, which help our energy levels. You will never look at lettuce in the same way again.

Like all conventionally grown foods, lettuce and greens contain farm and industrial chemicals as well as for ever chemicals. In addition, these foods will be deficient in nutrients and this affects their taste. We recommend organically grown food because not only your health, but your life depends on it.
