Was happy about the CO ballot decision, then depressed, now I'm happy again! C'mon SCOTUS! [1]

I had just finished posting about the triggering event today in my substack.
November marked the anniversary of being fired from a job I loved because I reported bullying. My therapist informed me that an anniversary like that could be triggering for people who suffer from CPTSD because they reopen feelings of abandonment, inadequacy, and fear of an inability to measure up.
Writing about this left me in something of a blue mood as I relived aspects of the bullying incident. My mood changed abruptly upon learning that Trump was told No Ballot for You in Colorado!
Talk about a 180 mood shift—it was like I took a valium or something—and I don't do drugs, so is that an upper or a downer? LOL.
In any case, I was filled with happiness and mega chill until I realized that SCOTUS would rule after Trump and the team file a writ of certiorari to the court.
Holy Crap-o-la!
Still, Brian Tyler Cohen makes a good point that ruling for Trump would be akin to ruling against the Constitution and may lead toward SCOTUS muting its own power.
Meanwhile, Clarence Thomas' tank head is not in the game, as he has been crying about retiring behind the scenes for some time, leading to the money men in his life sending him bushels of flowers.
Awww, how sweet!
As you might imagine, all the post-Colorado ballot news has put me in a less jubilant mood, but I am hesitantly optimistic.
As I stated in a related substack post, the Supremes love their power, and I doubt they would want to take one stone away from it. Trump will likely file an emergency appeal, alerting the SCOTUS to take up the case and decide quickly and definitively.
It is a nail-biter, folks, and I can't say I have much faith in the current Supreme Court—I can only count on the idea that their lust for power is more significant than their desire to appease the Mad Orange King.
In any case, I can only hope, at the end of the day, the rule of law, while flawed, will prevail in the end—dare to dream, am I right?
