Great News! Crime is Down Significantly in 2023! [1]

It’s wonderful election year news to learn from FBI statistics that most crime is down in 2023 is down dramatically. Of course, this is the opposite of the message that Fox News and all the right-wing media will be pushing….and it is not what the public thinks: 77% of the population, and 92% of Republicans, think crime is rising.

However, the statistics from the FBI provide a strong rebuttal of that view: Homicides are down 6.1% nationally and general larceny is down about 3.4%.
