From the river to the sea. Part 2 [1]

This tweet officially documents a secret known to the whole world (well, to the whole world except for the US administration).

Shlomo Karhi (@shlomo_karhi) December 12, 2023

As per a translate of the bio provided by the tweet, he is “Minister of Communications, Member of Knesset on behalf of the Likud faction. Doctor of industrial engineering and management, accountant, married and father of eight. A resident of the Gaza Strip.”

So we can reasonably assume this is the position of the Israeli government. As per the translate button, it says..

We respect and cherish the President of the United States, Joe Biden, who went out of his way during the most difficult period of the State of Israel. This is true friendship.

But we live here, this is our country. The historical estate of our ancestors. There will be no Palestinian state here. We will never allow another state to be established between the Jordan and the sea. We will never go back to Oslo. And in the words of President Biden: "The security of the Jewish people is at stake here." Definitely yes. A Palestinian state would endanger him. Thank you, President.

Do you recall all those complaints that “river to sea” chants were a call to genocide.

In this case, I don’t think the Israeli government's tweet is a call for genocide. It is, however, a call to perpetuate the existing apartheid system forever. I am pretty sure they don’t intend to give equal rights to the Palestinian residents.

It reminds me of a BBC news program I was watching on apartheid South Africa back in 1984. The presented interviewed a white guy, and asked a simple question. “Do you think this system of apartheid will last forever”. The guy considered the question solemnly, and then said “Yes…. we will fight for it”
