I may not be the only one thinking this . . . Elon Musk, in his infinite wisdom, bought a going concern for an idiot’s ransom. Further he chose to rebrand it, with a new name that isn’t even a word.
Ever since, the world has struggled to refer to the now-struggling enterprise, but the new name confounds all. “X - formerly known as Twitter” is worse than any attempt at naming Prince while he performed as a single symbol not represented in the English alphabet. Prince came to his senses, but so far Elon has stuck to his plan to careen over the cliff of his own ego with a name the world refuses to embrace.
A solution came to me today, although it may have occurred to others . .
A compromise for all that will save us the wrestling.
I propose that we refer to Elon’s Folly as
twiXter
Not only symbolic of the toppling of a “t” by an egotistical “X”, but a word on its own — an individual trapped between adolescence and adulthood, much like a certain wealthy eccentric.
If I had a profile on “X-formerly-known-as-Twitter” I would post this myself, but all I can do is run this up a flagpole. Maybe we’ll see others saluting?

P.S. X was and is an amazing punk band. Let’s give them back their dignity.
