Opinion: EU can suspend Hungary's voting-right temporarily for Ukraine ascension [1]

Article 7 of the treaty on European Union has a path to suspension of certain rights, such as "voting rights within the council" (from Wikipedia). In theory, it seems possible to me that they can suspend Hungary temporarily to bring Ukraine in.

This article is intended to be enacted when members identify a fellow member as persistently breaching EU's founding values, such as respect for human dignity (check), freedom (check), democracy (check), equality (check), the rule of law and respect for human rights (checkity check). Hungary of course violates some of these in their own country, but by actively supporting Russia and blocking EU funding for Ukraine, it undermines each of these values globally. I see their pro-imperial Russian influence as being a very valid reason for suspension before a Ukraine-ascension vote.

The Wikipedia article elaborates that this has been considered for Hungary many times since 2015, something that I wasn't aware of; although it seems they didn't ever actually go ahead with it. How come this hasn't been brought up so much in the current context? Or did I somehow miss all articles about this?
