In News that will surprise ( checks list) absolutely no one Vlad is going to stand for election next year . No not as Trumps running mate although that would not surprise many of us as he may as well be, but yes, Russia . According to one of Putins spokes persons in the Guardian “Putin will be re-elected next year with more than 90% of the vote”.

OK then … so a totally free and fair election coming up.
