Musing for Friday - It's That Time of Year. Happy Holidays! [1]

It’s that time of year when the GOP/Extremist start expressing their hate for Andy Williams. I mean Andy Williams for goodness sake. How much more vanilla can one get? At one time Andy was one of the most popular vocalists in the country. Now people hate one of his most popular Christmas songs. How ever did this happen?
I blame Bill O’Reilly. If I recall correctly it was sometime in the late 90s when Billo was looking for something else to get his audience riled up for Christmas. Somehow he decided to tell them that the lefties had declared a War on Christmas.
How did we do that? Simple. Some of us were saying Happy Holidays. Billo told them it was because we were including all the other religious holidays occurring this time of year. AND! And it was further proof that the Democrats hated Christians. And Christmas.
Whaaaaat?
Yep. Inclusivity was a sign of hatred. If we wanted to include everyone, it meant we hated them. What them? Righties. Republicans. The GOP. Etc.
And so, Billo and the right declared war on Andy Williams and one of his most popular Christmas tunes. They might as well declare war on Moon River.
