The Senate, that more mature of the houses, where older, wiser men with longer terms can carefully consider the most important things in our nation like, confirming judges, appointments, and approving foreign policy and treaties, is a fucking joke. The minority leader who AGREES with the majority on the need to aid Ukraine was complicit in shooting down an aid package over unrelated boarder issues. The aid package, mind you, DID include boarder funding that was asked for… but still not a single Republican voted for it.
So what if the roles were reversed? What if Dems voted Ukraine aid down? You can bet your ass every dead Ukrainian little kid on fire would be popping up in memes about Democrat traitors and cowards, every reference to caving in on foreign policy, selling out to Putin, being Putin’s bitches, Putin Space Lasers, Sorors funded peacenik weed smoking hippie commie appeasers…
Why are we not doing this, I mean I know a few are but why not EVERYONE harping on this all the time! I am so sick of the years and years Republicans try to call Democrats soft on foreign policy, now willing to be tough on dictators or communists, whatever. Now they are pulling this shit on Ukraine, this kind of stuff drives me totally nuts.
Sorry for the rant. But not really, I figure venting here is ok. But thanks for putting up with it along with the language.
