David Pakman interview shows you can't make Jacob Chansley make sense [1]

YouTube sensation David Pakman recently did a 20-minute interview with "QAnon Shaman" Jacob Chansley. Chansley pleaded guilty to several Jan 6 felony charges, including obstruction of an official proceeding. He is now running to be an Arizona Congressional Representative and serve in the House.

Chansley is something of a slippery fish to interview, but his only move is to sidestep the question asked and regurgitate some tangentially related conspiratorial nonsense. Most of what he said is only interesting as confirmation of how insane Chansley and these QAnon folk are, as he mainly spews already-debunked nonsense, then when challenged again tries to shift to some other nonsense. Pakman did okay in the interview, but every time he had Chansley backed into a rhetorical corner, he either let him wiggle out of it with no effort, or dismissed it with an "agree to disagree" and moved on. Very disappointing.

The question Pakman walked right up to but missed asking was why Chansley thinks he is qualified to run for Congress when the 14th Amendment appears to disqualify him. Chansley was in the Navy for a minute, so he swore an oath to support the Constitution, then, by his own admission under oath, he engaged in an insurrection. (Last month, Judge Wallace decided Trump did an insurrection, so it's no longer a question of whether it was a protest, riot, or insurrection.)

Chansley is claiming now that his guilty plea was false and his lawyer manipulated him into it, which is a risky maneuver, as he is saying he lied under oath when pleading guilty. But at the same time, he says he takes complete responsibility for what he did and blames it on no one but himself. Don't try to make it make sense, because it doesn't.

Does anyone know of any legal action in Arizona to challenge Chansley's qualification to run for office under the 14th Amendment? I have seen enough discussion of this online that I know I'm not the only one to think of it, but I haven't found any news of an actual challenge yet.
