Favour's Baby [1]

I know I said I wouldn’t write any more diaries on Ghana but I thought there would be those who would care to know about Favour’s baby.

Favour is the seventeen year old Nigerian girl currently living in Ghana who recently gave birth to a little baby boy. The boy almost lost his life in a fire about a week ago but he was rescued by a neighbor.

At any rate, John told me last night that the baby has been lethargic since then. He is not doing well.

He also told me that the doctors told Favour when the baby was born not to nurse him because she has an infection that she might pass on to him and they are concerned that he may already be infected. This I only learned last night.

Considering that this is Africa it is easy to speculate what the infection really is.

So sorry, but another sad story.

Prayers and positive meditations would be a kindness.
