Senator Mike Lee
361 A Russell Senate Office Building - Washington, DC 20510
Phone: 202-224-5444 - FAX: 202-228-1168 – 801-524-5730
Senator Lee;
As a public servant dedicated to putting the best interests of the American people ahead of self-serving personal and political interests for power, privilege, and wealth, you must constantly look for opportunities to introduce and promote legislation to assure honest government for the common good.
And, in light of several instances of corruption committed by the former Republican president and many sycophants, including but not limited to:
Subverting the 2020 election
Abusing the pardon power
Demanding loyalty oaths to him, not the Constitution or the law
Extorting the president of Ukraine to investigate baseless allegations against a political opponent
Firing whistleblowers who threatened to expose his corruption
Inciting the January 6, 2020, violent insurrection
Obstructing the Mueller investigation
Politicizing the Justice Department
Pressuring members of Congress and state government to assist in the subversion of the 2020 election
Profiting from the office of the presidency
I’m confident you will move quickly to introduce legislation to mandate the inclusion of 22 words into the oath of office, sworn to by you, your colleagues in Congress, and officials throughout the federal government, which will guarantee that governing authorities will honestly and effectively serve all of the American people.
The 22 words are: “That I will promptly report all instances of crime and/or corruption by government officials and employees of which I become aware.”
These 22 words have been suggested by qualified legal professionals Glenn Kirschner, an attorney, former U.S. Army prosecutor, and retired assistant U.S. Attorney in the District of Columbia, and Robert Westbrooks, an attorney and retired inspector general.
Since an honorable and courageous political leader like you would never be silenced by insults and threats by the former president or any other authoritarian, the American people know we can count on you and other men and women of courage in the House and Senate to rapidly pass and send the “Justice Matters Anti-Corruption Bill” to President Biden for his signature.
Can’t we?

Note to the staff member who pulls this message from the FAX machine: Please take a moment to go into Mike’s office and put this letter on his desk where he can’t miss it.
After all, constituents who trusted Senator Lee with their votes and pay his way every day know very well that he can’t do his job effectively unless he knows and understands our concerns ----- can he?
Thank you.
