These are the Lucky 7. Although, if they keep drinking pure alcohol they won’t be lucky for long.
x ‼️ [ENG] Only 7 Russians left out of 86 fighting near Krynky

Russia gained some ground west of Bakhmut yesterday, but got shit-canned at Marinka.
Reports from Russian and Ukrainian sources indicate the assault was completely defeated including at least 19 pieces of armor. Russian TG Channel "Living Z" is livid and and quoted a Russian VDV (airborne) captain who is calling for "punitive" action against the commanders for these "rash orders."
x There are preliminary reports coming in that the Russians attempted a large-scale assault on AFu positions south of #Avdiivka in the area of #Marinka.

Ships damaged in the Kerch Strait.
Too bad they weren’t swept into the bridge foundations.
Giant waves tossed three ships – "Matros Shevchenko," "Matros Pozinich," and "Kavkaz-5" – into a heap. "The vessel 'Matros Shevchenko' weighed anchor in the port of 'Kavkaz' and attempted to head into open sea. However, due to strong wind gusts, it leaned onto 'Matros Pozinich,' which couldn't avoid the impact. Together, they were carried into the ship 'Kavkaz-5.'"

Speaking of the Kerch Bridge ...
x A storm in the occupied Crimea destroyed the barricades protecting the Kerch bridge and the Sevastopol bay from attacks.

I would agree with this. Eventually Ukraine will be a cornerstone of NATO and will have a navy and an air force with F-35s. Might take 10 years but it will happen. This is the chief reason why Putin’s war was a disastrous strategic mistake.

Russia is also FUBAR.
It’s a shame these psychopaths didn’t end up fertilizing a field in Ukraine.
x 2/ The independent Russian outlet Agency. News has compiled a list of released murderers who have fought in Ukraine. Their pardons have caused great distress to relatives of the victims. Vladislav Kanyus, jailed for 17 years in 2022 for raping and strangling his ex-girlfriend. The police failed to respond to multiple calls from neighbours who heard her screams. He signed a military contract, served in Ukraine, survived and returned to Russia a free man. Artem Buchin raped and killed 23-year-old Tatyana Rekutina in 2022 and was jailed for 20 years in February 2023. He went to Ukraine in August 2023 and was back in his home town by November. Vyacheslav Samoilov killed his partner Olga Shlyamina, dismembered her with a hacksaw and hid the body parts in different places. He was jailed for 9 years and 7 months but returned home in 2023 after spending only three months at the front. Volgograd resident Arsen Melkonyan beat to death realtor Roman Grebenyuk after an online argument with his sister. He was jailed for 11 years in 2022, served 6 months in Ukraine, and returned home subsequently. Vadim Tekhov stabbed his ex-wife to death in 2021 in view of a surveillance camera, while already under house arrest for attempted murder. He was jailed for 16 years, went to Ukraine and was set free in November 2022. He was subsequently accused in a drug trafficking case. Tsyren-Dorzhi Tsyrenzhapov strangled 18-year-old Ekaterina Skvortsova, dismembered her body and threw its parts into the river. Her head was found by children. He was jailed for 14 years, went to Ukraine, was released and is now a suspect in a new murder case. ……. Dmitry Zelensky strangled his 27-year-old girlfriend Tatyana Melekhina and put her body through a meat grinder in 2018, for which he received 11 years in prison. He was released in the summer of 2023 after fighting in Ukraine and was pardoned.

A short essay from Danish journalist Per Nyholm, who traveled to Kherson, which Russia is attempting to turn into the next Bakhmut or Avdiivka.
The much admired Dmytro Marchenko receives us, well hidden in his lair, deep inside a civilian housing complex. The general, who in the first month of the war stopped the Russians just outside Mykolaiv and in November of last year threw them back over the Dnipro, is quiet and determined, in the best of spirits. A strategic shift has occurred. The Russians defend their gains. They can no longer advance. On the Black Sea, the initiative lies increasingly with the Ukrainians, who are building their bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro, pushing – slowly, slowly — towards the Sea of Azov. If they succeed next year in breaking the Russian supply line from Krasnodar to Crimea and then in sabotaging the vulnerable bridge over the Kerch Strait, the death knell in the Kremlin will begin to ring out. The prospects are not poor. In a few months, the Danish, Norwegian, and Dutch F-16 fighters can begin the job of softening of the Russian hinterland. «See you in Crimea next year,» I say to the general, as we part. «Yes,» he replies. «We will meet for a cup of coffee in Yalta.» Kherson is like a burial chamber, very few civilians, almost no cars except for the occasional military vehicle. The Russians’ heavy artillery, less than five kilometers out to the east, breaks the silence time and time again. We drive down towards the Dnipro, which glistens silvery in front of us in the bright light of the late morning. Covered by a small forest, we try to reach the river, but suddenly hear a drone buzzing above us. Natalia suggests a retreat. A few minutes later, we drive through a bombed-out suburban housing estate, neat wooden houses turned into firewood. An elderly man hobbles by with his dog and a wheelbarrow. Another violent explosion tells me that at Dnipro the fate of Europe will be decided.
I have to say I’m not as pessimistic as Illia Ponomarenko. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were rebuilt. Bakhmut, Avdiivlka and other destroyed towns and villages will be too.
x I'm afraid a very large part of my home region of Donbas, in the full-scale Russian invasion, has sustained the scale of destruction very easily comparable to the effects of a full-scale nuclear bombardment.

Art is also a victim.
x The largest number of Horska mosaics in pre-war Ukraine were in the east - in particular, in Donetsk and Mariupol. Unfortunately, in Mariupol, the mosaics were almost destroyed by the Russian army.
