Anthony Loewenstein has published a must read book titled, “The Palestine Laboratory: How Israel Exports the Technology of Occupation Around the World” that is available for free download at www.versobooks.com/...due to the inordinate amount of interest in all matters Middle East in the wake of the tragedy of the I/P conflict. The author explores how the M-I Complex in Israel tests novel weapons against the people in the Occupied Territories and uses this field experience to sell those weapons to dictatorships and democracies worldwide. The book has earned rave reviews from world renowned academics such as Noam Chomsky, Ilan Pappe and Avi Shlaim. Sam Russek of newrepublic.com discusses the book’s central argument and discovers that the harm done by the regime’s continued occupation is not confined to the Palestinians, but has affected the lives of desperate people across continents. What the regime does in this regard is not unique as we also engage in indiscriminate arms sales that have destabilized democracies.
