A question for the Tutoring English Group [1]

A thought has occurred to me , I know , I know I will have to have a lie down later. Should we invite our students to comment and read Daily Kos and suggest they can, if they want, to ask questions about English and cultural stuff andf comment on other posts here in a dedicated group/thread ?

I am used to teaching French students and they seem to have difficulty with the fact that English comes in many forms . English as King Charles speaks it is not quite the same as Biden speaks nor Trump :-) French however is French ! So to me having fora that give different answers is a good thing.

Someone recently asked me the difference between English English and American English and I replied that the Americans are allowed to make up words because they are forbidden to use the letter U whilst the English are allowed to steal words from other languages :-)
