Why I Have Faith the American People Will Reject Donald Trump (15-min Video) [1]

When it comes to the outcome of a presidential election a year into the future, there are inevitably a lot of unknowns (known and unknown). But there’s one thing on which I have faith: the substantial majority of the American people do not want the fascistic/authoritarian politics that Trump offers, and that the Trump Party represents, and they will reject it. And that it is this that will be determinative of the outcome of the 2024 election.
(The political task of the coming year is to make sure that the American electorate, taken as a whole, understands that this is the fundamental issue the American people will decide in the 2024 election. And I have faith that this task will be accomplished fully enough for American Democracy to survive.)
In this 15-minute video, I discuss the current political situation, what the current polls do and do not mean, and the American majority’s clear preference for Democracy over Fascism (and over the Theocracy of the Dobbs decision).
