Fanatical Republican Extremist of the Day: Shawna Bolick [1]

Here's the frustrating part… in July of 2023, after the resignation of Arizona State Senator Steve Kaiser, Shawna Bolick was then appointed to District 2 of the Arizona State Senate to replace him by the Arizona Board of Supervisors. Their other two choices were a guy with ties to the Three Percenters Militia, and someone who supported the Qanon conspiracy theory… so somehow Bolick was the least dangerous choice. As they did so, they lamented the process to replace legislators in Arizona, with one commenting on how terrible Bolick was as a choice, “Someday we are going to pick an ax murderer”.



And this is overall, the current GOP in a microcosm. Those who are self-aware to know they’re working with truly toxic people just rubber stamp them into power, especially if they can do so without the will of the voting public being considered.
