The reality of Elon Musk's Twitter. [1]

Please let me clarify from the start, there hasn’t been a single social media site that can 100% guarantee that it’s users will be protected from encountering hateful material. This is simply due to the fact that people post their opinions on these platforms and some people have some really shitty opinions. However, it’s not too hard to expect a modicum of moderation by the moderators of said platform.
Which brings me to Elon Musk’s Twitter.
While, as stated above, hateful material did exist before Musk’s acquisition, I always had the feeling that it would be dealt with in a timely manner if obvious hate speech was being spread. This is usually due to the diligence of the actual users of the platform rather than some super-duper algorithm standing watch to permanently protect us.
However, Elon Musk’s Twitter is now an open sewer where hatred of all kinds is allowed to flourish; seemingly with no consequences to the hateful. While the content below is… I won’t mince my words, fucking awful, it is a quintessential example of content that is allowed on Twitter.
x Jews are dirty filthy NIGGER KIKES and I don't deal with NIGGERS. NIGGERS have nothing to do with skin color JEWS are NIGGERS are KIKES and I do not deal with NIGGERS. 🧜🏾♀️🤘🏾🔺️ pic.twitter.com/zZ7RgMk3PX — Empress of the Muses🧘🏾♀️ (@DerMightyBoosh) November 15, 2023
As a decent human being, I, along with others, reported this content as hateful. However, the moderators of Elon Musk’s Twitter apparently believe this is fine.
Here’s other examples courtesy of @RyLiberty. He has over 121k followers. An obvious anti-Semite and Holocaust denier who’s account was previously banned and then brought back by Musk. For the record, I along with many others have reported this users content; but apparently this isn’t hateful at all.
x Clearly the glass windows at the Majdanek gas chamber were made of that unbreakable glass. I say this because in 18 countries you legally have to. We all know something has to be 100% true when questioning it is illegal. pic.twitter.com/1EXhIn260T — Ryan Dawson (@RyLiberty) November 5, 2023
I guess we shouldn’t be surprised. It seems like the boss finds all this ‘agreeable.’
I need a shower.
