New Day Cafe: Coffee Tables [1]

Welcome to the New Day Cafe! This is an open thread.

Because I’m still looking at decorating things here and there, I came across a Homes and Gardens UK article, “Does a living room need a coffee table? (link: www.homesandgardens.com/...)

I don’t have a coffee table in my living room. Do you fine folks have coffee tables?

Here are their decorator-approved alternatives to coffee tables:

-Side tables.

I use a side table, and I’ll be sticking to it.

-Ottomans, which “add softness”

-For open plan spaces (which is what I have), footstools are recommended.

-Storage items like trunks.

This is an open thread. Please share what’s on your mind this morning.
