St Petersburg, Florida, was originally founded as a railroad station, for carrying cargo to the port of Tampa. So it has always had a pier on the waterside, which over the years became a central tourist attraction. The latest version of the St Pete Pier was built in 2016.
Some photos from an afternoon at the Pier.
For those who don't know, I live in a converted campervan and travel around the country, posting photo diaries of places that I visit. I am currently wintering in Florida.
