CNN Calls Manchin's Decision a Blow to Dems, But It's a Gift [1]

CNN misses Manchin already!
Sen. Joe Manchin (aka Lady Coalheart) has announced that he will not run for reelection.
Hooray!
But what’s this? CNN seems to think that this is a blow to the Democrats as it gives those-who-must-not-be named a chance to take his place. That’s patently ridiculous considering how much of the Democrat’s agenda Captain Blacklung has singlehandedly derailed.
A better interpretation of the event would be “Now maybe we’ll get something done.” Yes, the Dems will have to fight hard to retain his seat, but it’s a pretty good time to be a Democrat running for office in this country if yesterday’s elections are any indication.
