Belmont University student in critical condition [1]

I just learned of this and I know it won’t get much traction here because it is just one random incident in a country that is awash in gun deaths, but this one hit home because my youngest is a senior at Belmont.

This poor young women was walking on a track when she got hit and she wasn’t found for two hours.

I despair of this country, especially when you read about the man that was arrested for the shooting. How on earth did this man have access to guns? None of us are safe anywhere, but that doesn’t seem to matter to far too many red state voters.

I knew when nothing happened after Sandy Hook that nothing would be done, but I had no idea that not only would nothing be done to regulate guns but that the GOP would make it even easier to get guns. Our lives shouldn’t be held hostage this way.
