Peace protests go better when you don't murder people [1]

It sounds like one of the pro-Palestinian protests in Los Angles today involved murdering a Jew. Details aren’t all there yet, but from what I can tell, there’s video, and it’s a clear case of murder.

Needless to say, this is NOT a good way to achieve peace.



It’s worth taking steps to make sure this doesn’t happen again, including:



* Setting expectations for behavior

* Training people in nonviolence and deescalation

* Actively discouraging people who align themselves with Hamas rather than peace from attending

* Tone down the rhetoric. Focus on ways to achieve mutual understanding, not slogans which leave no place for both
