Be a Tree [1]

If you get mad from reading this post, in the words of our current president, don’t. I said! Don’t! As in, don’t hit that comment button! Don’t do it! You know it won’t add anything to this echo chamber. I mean, it might, but… nah, you know it won’t add anything lol. Unless you are from the AP or ProPublica, then by all means, post away, so Kos can live! Or eat fancier meals. Or whatever he does with the money he’s saved from the “Great Sacking”. Too soon?

I will not be responding to any comments that are not moving the conversation forward. Please don’t forget, echo chambers are on both sides of the political isle. I said, DONT FORGET! Do I need to say it a third time? Wait, do I have to count now… But, but, but, I really need to say this! Are you sure? Before hitting submit, it looks like you have some biases leaking out... Grab your cat or dog, wait 48 hours, and see if you should go through posting with what you are thinking. No? Ok, hit submit, what do I care, I’m just a troll, right? Oh, I’m not? Oh dang, you don’t want to get caught up with another human, that would be nasty! So yeah, don’t pull me down, to step over me to the next righteous issue. I don’t like being stepped on. Well… that’s for another post…

A human is no different than a tree. If you feel you are better than a tree, I would kindly ask that you stop. As in, stop right there! Seriously, just stop. You’re not new, or adding anything. You know this. Not taking anyone down, just pointing out, in the lineage of trees, you might not be a mighty Oak. There are millions of reasons to show you are more, and you are validated, but you are no better than a tree. Humans, from inception, are more than a tree, sometimes. However, through my short life, and history, tells me that we are no better. A large part of our existence is paying back, what we cost, in totality. Again, stop, think, be better.

Come at me bro. Tell me all the reasons why humans are WAY better than trees. I hope you wouldn’t, my ADHD has thought about every conceivable road you want me to transverse. Also, I’m as dense as Lignum (yes, there is a joke there, but I’m not going to make it lol). You can cut me down, reshape me, make me into anything you wish, but I am a tree. In 500 years, I will still be standing. Maybe lol. You can cut all of us down, kill every one of us, but when you are gone, I will still grow. I will be here. The planet will be here. You are not powerful. You are not what saves the planet, you are what hurts it. You know this. It’s why you fight. It is why you know deep down, there is no god. That view is of fantasy, and a world you make in your mind. A vision of what could be, but that will never be. And you know this. You know, no matter what, you can’t make up for what you’ve done. It sucks, I know. I’m not saying you are over 50% of the worst (that’s republicans). You still know, that you are pushing the ball uphill, as am I. What are you going to do, in your own life, to make up this cost? You are going to educate others, change what you know, to do better. And how are you going to make the world better? You are going to do the least that you are able to do. Not a riff on you, it’s just easier, and we like easy. I fail at this, and I am making an effort to be better. Making sure that I make one other human vote, no matter how they vote. In hopes of increasing my voice. This isn’t a critique, it is an admission of what it is to be a tree. Again, think of the tree. Be one, with the tree. If you are fighting against this idea, then please, don’t comment for two days. Let those thoughts wash over you. Let the thoughts roll around, and think of these things while you labor, and think of what might be of the pyramid you built for “your future”. Callous right? Yup. So what? You know these truths to be self evident. That in two million years after humans have run the course, things will be right back where they were. And guess what? I’ll still be here. The lonely tree.

A call to action. But wait! If I yell louder, Biden will move to the left! I might even threaten to not vote! Gasp! Just stop. No one is fighting for your vote. In fact, because of the simple reasons of voting a year from now, none of your singular issues will be acknowledged. Yeah, sucks right? I mean, some stuff will move, but not really. Tough toucans. But Lucky! All can’t be lost! No, it isn’t. But you know what can be lost? You. You can get lost. You can fight needlessly, ever encroaching on others that agree with you 95% of the time, except for that really big issue. Let’s say, like I/P. Wait, I can’t fight for what I believe in? Au contraire, mon Freire. Fight like you have never fought before. Or add your flavor of hot sauce on it. Just don’t expect me to move. Again, I’m a tree, I don’t have ears. It’s not fair, or right, but I’m a tree. Might be wise to tone down the outrage, and think constructively. Like how our monies can be spent getting voters to the polls, or Bibi taking a Carnival Cruise to the Bahamas, instead of picking the next hospital to level. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Hamas and 9/11. Im not a sapling. I get it. I also get that Bush didn’t have the right idea. Mission accomplished, am I right? Sorry, his dumb face on that aircraft carrier is burned in my bark.

So what the hell are you fighting for? (obligatory hat tip to LP). Be a tree. What, you think I’m joking? Mentally, be a tree. Yup, sounds stupid. Sounds like some crack pot telling me how to behave. Well, what’s wrong with that? You have been told there is a magic man that gives you everything you wish for, if you just believe in him. So what’s the harm in acting like a tree? Oh, you’re better than a tree. Right… cuz why? The missiles and bullets? Yeah, sorry, ya bad. Ya real bad. Shoot, worse than a tree, if you ask me…

Wait, stop! You’re mean! Yup. Not as mean as a republican with an AR lapel, but definitely not as nice as a tree. I should work on that…. Hey, do you have any ideas on how I could be more like a tree? Never mind, I have an idea, lose your faith. Scary right? I know, I know, it’s not fair to ask someone to lose their faith. Unfortunately for those that do have faith, it’s a matter of time. I know, your flavor of spending time praising a mythical dude that takes away all your pain, is time limited. But it’s your time! And you get to spend it how you want! Thanks J.G. Wentworth! Seriously, the sooner you can lose it (faith, not weight), the sooner you can help. Fat bottom girls make the rockin world go round, but religion makes the world slow down, and hurtful. It’s an outdated way of explaining tectonic plates. If nothing comes of this post, fine. Trees will be here now, and for thousands of years. If we make it as a species, trees will be along side of us. If we don’t make it, trees will still be here. Nothing you can say, or do, will change that fact. So I will teach your kids about tectonic plates, and watch as god never comes to save the trees. Rude? Yes. True? Also yes. Lack of religion won’t solve all our problems, but it can go a long way in helping. And if you insist on keeping your faith, leave it in the basement. Along with the model trains and the pottery wheel. Your hobby isn’t helpful any longer. Just my two leafs.
