Let’s ‘work’ it out: Work to resolve our differences, that is [1]

Anyone who is familiar with my writing, no doubt knows I am less influenced by what I read than what I watch on tv. Of course, there can be exceptions. But this is pretty much rule of thumb for me. This is probably the reason I spend less time watching tv and more time reading. My eyes no doubt attest as I am soon to become the owner of prescription bifocal glasses. Which should make reading the “fine print” now even easier.
Right now, as I tune into broadcast news, I am learning how much dissatisfaction with this, that and the other there is in the world.
Speaking of television, on an episode of Motion the show’s host and narrator, Greg Aiello, I believe was in a jungle in Costa Rica (if you asked me, I wouldn’t be able to even tell you exactly where that island is) and upon his happening upon some kind of plant that had, I wouldn’t say thorns; these were more like spikes, this, apparently being the flora’s built-in way of keeping predators at bay, Aiello quite facetiously quipped “What do you have to be so angry about?!” or something to that effect. I thought the fast-on-his-feet Aiello’s remark was funny when I heard him say it. Thank you, Greg!
As I would ask right now, what is there to be angry about; why does there seem to be so much anger in the world these days?
What I can also say is that it takes a tremendous amount of energy to hold onto anger. Though it may be difficult for some, it seems to take very little energy in just letting go, or letting “it” go.
I know it would behoove us, both individually and collectively, to try to be more flexible, more tolerating of others opinions, even if we don’t agree with them. We need to stop this: “I’m right and you’re wrong, there are no two ways about it!” bullsh*t. Yes there are: Two ways. It appears we need reminding now and then what that is: It also goes by the term “middle-ground”.
In working together and not against each other, there is far more that we can get done, as opposed to what we cannot do.
How about finding something to agree on and then build on that?
Can we at least agree on — and start with — that?
