Beware neo-nazi entryism in anti-war, pro-Palestine movement [1]

White supremacists have long used criticism of Israel as cover to spread their antisemetic lies among the left. Several years ago I was shocked to see one of my acquaintances repost an article from David Duke on social media, criticizing Israel for an attack in Gaza; when I pointed out who David Duke is, they responded by saying that they were fully aware, but are “open minded” and will take information from many sources — apparently even one that is well known for lying about this particular subject. With the current escalation of violence in and around Gaza, neo-Nazis and other antisemites are hoping to spread their message to new audiences.
On exTwitter, hate-mongers have filled their feeds with news from Gaza, often exaggerated or fully fabricated to rile up anger against Israel and fear among Americans. They have positioned themselves as a trusted source of information for many who are opposed to Israel’s actions. Similar people are showing up at large pro-Palestinian rallies and trying to expand their influence among a potentially receptive audience for their lies.
Be aware of these people and recognize them for the threat they pose to all of us — most would murder Muslims as readily as they would murder Jews. To better understand how antisemitism spreads among the left, you may want to listen to an episode of “The Fire These Times” by Joey Ayoub that includes an interview with Daniel Randall — On Confronting Antisemitism on the Left — or pick up one of the books they recommend:
That’s Funny, You Don’t Look Antisemitic: Antiracist Analysis of Left Antisemitism Paperback by Steve Cohen
Confronting Anti-Semitism in the 21st Century edited by Shane Burley
Confronting antisemitism on the Left: arguments for socialists by Daniel Randall
The Arabs and the Holocaust: The Arab-Israeli War of Narratives by Gilbert Achcar
The Holocaust and the Nakba: A New Grammar of Trauma and History
The Holocaust, rebirth, and the Nakba: memory and contemporary Israeli-Arab relations by Yair Auron
