Street Prophets Friday: Hiking Up Lysá Mountain (photo diary) [1]

Greetings, and finally we come to the end of my summer vacation photos! Welcome to another of my little, fluffy open threads. This week I'm kicking things off with a long rocky trudge up to the top of the highest mountain in the Moravian-Silesian Beskyds range.
Lysá hora
From our starting point to the top of the highest of those mountains in the background is about 8 kilometers or 5 miles.
Nature Preserve site marker with an informational panel about a nearby sandstone cave that shelters a large colony of bats
Well, that was fairly painless, wasn't it? At 1,323 meters it's a small mountain, merely the 26th tallest in the Czech Republic. The trail went up 600 meters of elevation, over a third of a mile.
There were a couple of restaurants at the top though. I treated myself to a beer and a bowl of garlic soup.
A couple of paragliders were sailing around on the thermals, high above the meteorological station.
Heading back down. An informational panel about the local lynxes— “a fast lazybones” — ? I'll try to not take that personally. Hmmph, some of us are just work smarter, not harder.
Got a bit wet on the way down.
Thanks for stopping by.
This is an open thread.
