"Indivisible" team steps back from Twitter [1]

The Indivisible movement began as a response to Donald Trump’s election and relied on Twitter to get the word out. Now, they have decided to step back from Twitter. Their blog post outlines their strategy, which starts with:
We’re in the process of removing its icons from our website and emails. We’ll no longer ask supporters to follow us there, or run advocacy campaigns on the platform.* We’ll phase down original content to a minimum to prevent the X Corp (it feels stupid just typing that name) from seizing our account. And we’ll be creating migration guides to help Indivisible groups establish stronger presences on alternative platforms.
These are sensible steps for reducing participation with Twitter — stop investing in the site, but continue using it to quickly reach the audience that is already there. If we continue to take these issues seriously, we will soon build social media befitting a free people.
