Connecticut Democrat pleads the Fifth? Throw the book at them! [1]

I just read a story by Susan Haigh of the Associated Press that chilled me to the bone. Yes, I knew it was bound to happen sooner or later, but this incident proves that some Democrats are just as crooked as the Republicans we’ve all been hating for 7+ years.
Apparently surveillance videos showed two Democratic campaign workers stuffing ballot boxes with absentee ballots in the Bridgeport, CT Mayoral primary election. A Superior Court judge just tossed out all the ballots in the race and ordered the city to hold a new primary election.
The judge cited statistics showing that abnormally large numbers of absentee ballots were cast in certain voting districts and video evidence showing multiple people shoving stacks of ballots into drop boxes, in violation of state law. … Ganim {the incumbent}, who was convicted of corruption during a first stint as mayor but won his old job back in an election after his release from prison, has repeatedly denied any knowledge of wrongdoing related to ballots. He has also accused Gomes campaign workers of breaking voting rules. ... Gomes {the challenger} contends the person {in the video} is Wanda Geter-Pataky, a Ganim supporter and vice chair of the Bridgeport Democratic Town Committee. In court, Geter-Pataky exercised her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination and declined to answer questions.
How many Red (and Purple) voters do you think will use this incident to conclude that “They ALL cheat. Donald Trump isn’t the only one...”
Of course, the citizens of Bridgeport have themselves to blame for re-electing a crook who had already been imprisoned for corruption.
