From Mastodon - the case for domesticated ants [1]

The “Myrme Propagandist” on Mastodon has gone overboard with her pro-ant propaganda, providing a list of potentially useful applications for domesticated ants. She already keeps pet ants, so this thread is focused on working ants.

The proposal seems to be tounge-in-cheek (mostly), but still provides food for thought and surveys several interesting capabilities of ants and how humans sometimes manipulate their behavior.
