My wife and I canned 25 quarts of apple pie filling this past week. I have a variety of trees and my favorite pie apple is ripe right now.
I had a visit from the dahlia fairy from Alsea today, jqjacobs brought a bunch of starts and some sunflower seeds I’ll share with my gardening buddy.
Let’s take a walk around the yard
still a a few roses
this area needs re-thought, grass is not good. Maybe a low ground cover
golden delicious
18” zinnias have been fun this year
3’ have been good too
things are shutting down
shi shi gharzia
deadheading without a band
apple, celery, walnut salad, golden delicious
My gardening buddy Patty asked if she could use a few of my flowers a few years ago. She was taking bouquets to a few retirement homes. She said she would deadhead to “pay” for the flowers. I told her she could have them for free. In the past few years she has been supplying flowers for her son’s restaurants. Here’s what she is doing.
I walk around the yard with her when she comes over and we gossip.
I went to my PA and told him I was getting depressed from the chronic pain. He said, we have a pill for that. Two days in and noticing some relief.
